SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this busy, hands on role will involve effectively managing the everyday operations for the Service Delivery department at our Seven Hills office.

Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and achieve KPI’s for the workforce in line with the department strategies
  • Managing the administration of the drivers
  • Forecast, compile, communicate, and manage driver rosters
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and WHS incidents
  • Promote safe work practices
  • Participate in recruitment and selection
  • Schedule and prepare driver meetings
  • Develop strong and effective relationships with drivers and internal departments
  • Maintain effective customer relationships
  • Monitor truck earnings and hours
  • Facilitate performance management processes
  • Support the Operations Manager with other ad hoc duties as required

Skills & experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory/management role (minimum 3 years experience)
  • Transport or Automotive industry experience (or similar)
  • A passion for leadership and team building
  • A commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to initiate, build, implement and review transport operational processes and initiatives
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time management
  • A professional and motivated approach to work
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Effective decision making
  • Strong customer service

Experience with roster development and fatigue management is an advantage but not essential.
